Hokkaido University International Student Association (HUISA) - is aimed to make life easy for International students and other foreigners who live in Sapporo.
Dear HUISA members,
It is now preparation time for Hokudaisai 2014.
Hokudaisai 2014 will be organized and run by the Hokudaisai committee under guidance from the HUISA executive committee.
Tents wishing to participate in Hokudaisai must volunteer 2 persons to be a part of the Hokudaisai committee.
Applications are now open for Hokudaisai committee.
Please email name, email address, tent, student status to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Additionally, please identify whether you are a registered HUISA member.
Applications are also open for recreational committee for planning the annual spring and summer trips.
The first general assembly for the 2014 Academic Year to discuss Hokudaisai and committee activities will be held on April 28, 2014 at the Room for International Cultural Activities, Clark Kaikan 3F, Hokkaido University (Kita-ku, Kita-8, Nishi-8).:

Dear International Students,
If you have always wanted to contribute in some way to the enhancement of your student life as well as for fellow colleagues studying in Hokkaido University from around the globe, here is your chance. The term of the 2013 HUISA Executive Committee is coming to an end and we are about to elect a new executive committee that will lead us through 2014. Elections will be held on Thursday April 10th, 2014 from 19:30 - 21.00 hours and will be held inthe room Room for International Cultural Activities, Clark Kaikan 3F, Hokkaido University (Kita-ku, Kita-8, Nishi-8).
Please be aware that office bearers will be elected based on the revised constitution recently published and distributed. The 9 officers to be elected are: 1. President; 2. Vice President; 3) General Secretary; 4) Treasurer; 5) Vice Secretary; 6) Public Relations Officer; 7) Web Administrator; 8) Secretary for Social Welfare and Culture; and 9) Secretary for Sports and Tourism in that order. At no time can the executive committee be made up of members that include more than 1 person from the same country so multiple nationalities are encouraged to participate. Please be on time.
Dear HUISA members, Please see revised constitution and Committee Description (ATTACHED BELOW). The Executive committee wishes to thank all those that participated in the special meeting held on March 16th, 2014 for the purpose of revising and adopting this current constitution. Please be advised that next elections will be held in keeping with this current constitution.
We would like to thank all of you that submitted proposals, ideas and comments to revise the current HUISA constitution. We have planned a meeting for Sunday March 16th at the Center for Sustainability Science (CENSUS) from 18:00 to 20:00 hrs (6-8pm). At this meeting we will discuss the proposals presented that you can find in the pdf file attached to this message, and adopt any changes based on a majority vote. Please be on time. If you have difficulty finding the location, please call Devon on 080-4508-0421.

You are invited to "Hinamatsuri" Party
"Hinamatsuri" is a Japanese traditional festival (Doll Festival) for young girls. Come see our adorable traditional “Hina” dolls that will be lined up on a stair-shaped display. At the party, you can enjoy a Japanese tea ceremony (you can also try making tea), violin performance, picture-story show, “origami”. Please join us to celebrate “Hinamatsuri” together!
