There is a 6 devices located within the campus using these devices you can use to issue the following certificates'*
-Certificate of university registration
-Grades transcript
-JR and Ferry student discount certificate
*Please note that all sertificats are issued in Japanise.
Certificate of university registration - may be used for: visa issue, job finding, visa renewal. Grades transcript– used for visa renewal, job finding JR/Ferry Discount certificate – you can get up to 50% discount when purchasing the tickets for Ferry or JR if the distance is more than 100 km*. Certificates are valid for 3 months after the date of issuance.
*So you can’t get any discount when going to Otaru but sure can get it when going to Hakodate, Tokyo.

-Graduate school of environmental science
Using the ACM
1. Put your student ID into the scanner.
2.Select the desired transaction
3. Enter your password (the password is the month and day of your birthday in 4 digit format like 0308 for 8th march or 0101 for January 1st.
4. Select the certificate you want to issue from the screen.
5. Select the number of certificates to print and press the Print button.
6. Print another certificate or finish the work with the system.

FAQ I’m a short term student of Hokkaido University (HUSTEP, NIKENSEI, NIKANSEI) can I use the ACM?
No, since you do not have proper Student ID with magnet strip identification. Please address the International Students Center office for certificates.
I want to go to Tokyo by ferry for personal reasons (i.e. Sightseeing) can I use the student discount?
Yes.
The card reader does not accept my card what should I do?
Keep trying. some times, its takes few tries, to scan card properly. But if you card is still rejected ask student affairs office for help maybe your card magnet strip became unreadable.
My student card is accepted but it’s ask for the password, but I do not remember any, what shuld I do?
The default password is your birthday, for example if your birthday is 8th march the password will be 0308.
I want to change my password can I do it?
Usually it’s unnecessary but yes you can, just try not to forget it.
